My sister who went to a Georgia location paid taxes for hers. I was quoted $4400 for both eyes, my insurance covered $400 per eye, and because I filled all my paperwork out before my consultation she gave me an additional $200 off (said she was in a good mood).Īlso Texas didn’t charge tax for the procedure. Surgery Type: custom “Bladeless LASIK”, also referred to as iLASIK™, IntraLASIK™Ĭost: $3400 (total). You'll be in good hands at TLC if you choose to go with them! Maybe I would have asked for my pupil size or cornea thickness in retrospect but I'm not sure what I would have done with the information. I kicked myself for not asking beforehand since I'm so headache prone but it all worked out in the end. The frustration gave me a headache and I didn't even know what I could take OTC for it (or if NSAIDs like Advil were allowed) because TLC's post-op instructions doesn't mention anything regarding painkillers. I think I would have really appreciated the extra freezing drops + valium because my eyes burned/watered like hell when I got home post-LASIK and I couldn't fall asleep - they give you lorazapam prior to the procedure but this did nothing to me. It's possible Bochner doesn't include that in their kit anymore, but their price was still the same when I talked to them early December. They even included the prescription eyedrops in the price, some artificial tears, some freezing drops + take home a single valium, lorazapam and tylenol 3 for the first day home whereas TLC doesn't offer any of that.

I took a family there a few years ago for bladeless LASIK and I was impressed how organized they were, plus they're known for being conservative with their procedure recommendations. Bochner is also $5,400 so if I had to pick between TLC and Bochner for the same price, I would go with Bochner for Dr. The surgery itself turned out great so I can't complain about anything in that regard. but I was on top of them so it was solved quickly. I had some minor issues with administrative stuff like appointment times, unclear information regarding whether my eyes would be dialted or not, contradicting paperwork etc. I didn't feel pressured but I did book my surgery on the day of my consultation, so they didn't need to follow up incessantly like I've heard some places do.

I don't think that another surgeon would have done a better job. I don't think the center really cares about their patients (no warm fuzzies, I think they see all patients as $ signs), but they are good at what they do. They're still dry 3 months post surgery, but I only use drops at night before bed, so I would say the dryness has improved/become more manageable.
MAC BILLINGS MT SURGERY FULL
My eyes were very dry for a full month after surgery. I don't fault the center though, as my eyesight was really bad and they told me that it's not unexpected to need a correction. I think they err on the side of "under promise and over deliver." My eyesight was 20/15 the day after, but it has since gone back to worse than 20/20 so I think that a correction may be in store for me sometime this year or next.

They're very thorough with their evaluation, very upfront, and very honest about what you can and can't expect after surgery. They operate a lot like what you'd imagine an efficient factory to be like - they do 11 LASIK surgeries every Friday and they have it down to a science.
